FEMALE BOARD POOL


The Female Board Pool is an initiative that serves to connect experienced/future female independent directors with companies in Denmark and other European Countries seeking new board members. The Female Board Pool Initiative aims to contribute to a substantial increase in the percentage of competent and committed women on Boards of Directors in Europe. Since 2019, KMP+ House of mentoring has supported this initiative by providing mentoring workshops at the Governance seminars in Copenhagen.
What is the “Female Board Pool” initiative?
- A local initiative, supported by the non-profit MCMC a.s.b.l., connected internationally and founded on the research of the Centre for Corporate Governance at the University of St. Gall, Switzerland
- A database of more than 800 profiles of “board-ready” or “board-experienced” women from all sectors: private, public and non-profit associations, asserting skills and experiences in all aspects
- An initiative endorsed since 2010 by the Luxembourg Ministry of Equality between women and men and run in meantime in Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark.
Target groups of the Female Board Pool
The companies
benefit from professional support in finding the appropriate female board members who are competent and dedicated. This entails a wide scope of services, representing tailor-made assistance for each company in their search of female board members.
Experienced female board members
benefit through the Female Board Pool from continuous development in matters of governance and from a networking platform. Furthermore, their profiles can be submitted to companies in a targeted manner.
Future female board members,
leaders of 1st and 2nd senior management level may in our intensive seminar, learn about the basic legal and entrepreneurial principles of the activities within the board of directors, participate in networking meetings amongst board members and see their applications submitted in a targetted manner to companies.
