20 april - Career mentoring – bridging the gap between life as a student and life as a professional
Tid: 09.00 – 10.00
Mentoring has become a popular tool at universities to support both students and staff in their career development. Mentoring programmes can be enormously valuable for students and postdocs, both in terms of their academic performance and their professional development.
We have invited Karin Fälth from Malmö University, Sweden as guest speaker, to share about their Career Mentoring Programme and present best practice from the programme. All the mentors come from private or public companies in the region, and the aim of the mentoring programme is to help students bridging the gap between life as a student and life as a professional and establish a better contact with organisations in the region.
27 maj - Mentor training and supervision
Tid: 09.00 – 10.00
We are experiencing an increased interest in how to train mentors and ensure they keep developing themselves in the mentor role. There is an interest in increasing the quality of mentoring and providing the mentor with more opportunities to reflect on their practice and the dilemmas in mentoring.
In this webinar we will present models for mentor training and mentor supervision and share the challenges of motivating mentors and providing inspirational learning events for them.
22 juni - Return on Mentoring
Tid: 09.00 – 10.00
How can you measure and evaluate whether your mentoring programme has been a success? When do you measure and evaluate during the programme to ensure the programme is running well? – and why is this important?
In this webinar, you will learn about different approaches to and models for evaluating and documenting the value of mentoring. You will hear about some barriers to measuring and documenting results, examples from practice and research, and – depending on the number of participants – there will be an opportunity to share experiences of what you are doing in your mentoring programmes.
